Our Beginning – The Story of LLSOI Campus

In 2023, Mr. Salinda Madushan, Founder and Chairman of the United Sri Youth Buddhist Foundation, and Mr. Januka Nipun, now MD/Chairman of LLSOI Campus, established the Lanka Language Studies Open Institute (LLSOI Campus). Located in Giradurukotte, the institution draws inspiration from a legacy of youth empowerment, educational development, and social service—principles that the United Sri Youth Buddhist Foundation first promoted through its success in Matale in 2020.

Following its official transfer of management on December 15, 2023, LLSOI Campus began its journey as a fully-fledged online higher education institute headquartered in Battaramulla, Colombo. Initially, it introduced programs in Language Studies and Psychology & Counselling, later expanding into five faculties: the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Language Studies, Faculty of Behavioural Science & Skill Development, Faculty of Management, and the Faculty of Information & Communication Technology.

Guided by the theme “A Generation Enriched with Knowledge – A Sustainable Future,” LLSOI Campus is devoted to providing affordable, high-quality education to students across Sri Lanka through the national “Saviya” Scholarship Program. The program offers certificate, diploma, and higher diploma courses under the leadership of Mr. Piyumal Harendra, Director of the Saviya National Scholarship Program, and Ms. Manori Perera, Academic Director of LLSOI Campus.

Today, LLSOI Campus stands as a rapidly growing online education institution, renowned for its commitment to excellence and innovation in teaching and learning. Operating with its main operations centre in Malabe, the campus delivers island-wide online education supported by a distinguished academic panel of university lecturers, professors, and educational experts from across Sri Lanka.

Through continuous expansion of academic programs and partnerships, LLSOI Campus provides an inclusive platform for students to advance their education in various professional fields, while maintaining affordability and accessibility. The institution has also gained recognition for its student-centred approach, digital learning infrastructure, and dedication to empowering youth with the skills needed to meet modern challenges.
